FORMAT: A bowler may attempt to qualify for the finals in as many squads as scheduled. Each center will send their top 16 qualifiers to the finals at Pla-Mor Lanes on Sunday, August 2, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. In the first round of finals, 4 bowlers will be assigned to a pair of lanes by random draw; the bowlers will bowl one game (9 pin no-tap) with the two highest scores from each pair of lanes advancing. Thereafter, all games will be head to head matches until the field is reduced to the top 3 bowlers. In the final game, all three bowlers will be on the same pair of lanes, with final positions determined by scores; 3rd, 2nd, and Champion.

This is a scratch tournament, with 9 pins on the first ball being the same as a strike (9 pin no-tap). All ties in the finals will be broken with a tenth frame roll-off. In-center qualifiers that tie for the final advancing position will be determined by a one game roll-off.
